This week at the Council: Meeting highlights

In order to accommodate the annual review and adoption of the 2007 Budget, most standing committee meetings have been cancelled. The most current Budget panel meeting schedules are available online

Monday, October 22
Committee of the Whole – 9:30 a.m.
Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:
• An ordinance naming a new county office building (Ordinance 2007-0330).
• An ordinance authorizing an interlocal transfer agreement for a 30-acre portion of Soaring Eagle Park (Ordinance 2007-0353)

Briefing:
• An ordinance authorizing a term-limited easement and bill of sale to grant certain property rights to the YWCA to facilitate development of Passage Point (Ordinance 2007-0508).

King County Ferry District – 1:30 p.m.
Board members are scheduled to discuss and possible act on:
• A resolution authorizing the chair to retain legal services to advise the district (Resolution FD2007-03)

Metropolitan King County Council – Immediately following meeting of King County Ferry District
Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:
• An ordinance relating to the reorganization of the Department of Public Safety (Substitute Ordinance 2007-0418.2).
• An ordinance naming a new county office building Contingent on Committee Action (Ordinance 2007-0330).
• An ordinance authorizing an interlocal transfer agreement for a 30-acre portion of Soaring Eagle Park Contingent on Committee Action (Ordinance 2007-0353).

Wednesday, October 24
Regional Transit Committee – 3:00 p.m.
Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:
• An ordinance updating and adopting the Comprehensive Plan for Public Transportation (Ordinance 2007-0478).
