Health Benefit Rates for COBRA and Retiree Medical

The health benefit rates for COBRA and retiree medical are based on what King County pays to provide the same coverage to active employees. Rates are subject to periodic adjustment.

The rate for a dependent child applies whether you cover one child or several as long as you or your spouse/domestic partner also elect coverage. If you or your spouse/domestic partner don't elect coverage, the first child pays the same rate as you and the dependent child rate applies to all additional dependent children. A child who no longer qualifies as your dependent and elects COBRA coverage pays the same rate as you.
