It's Farmers Market Season

Why shop at your local farmer's market? Why buy local produce?

Products at farmers' markets are known for being locally-grown and very fresh. Since locally-grown produce does not travel as far to get to your table, the difference in mileage, allows farmers to pick produce at the peak of flavor, and preserves the nutritional content of fresh produce. Support local farms and preserve natural resources. Shop at a Farmer’s Market this week!

Vegetable -Chili Peppers: They are often used to spice up dishes, and they are especially popular in ethnic cuisine. They are an excellent source of vitamin C if you can withstand their powerful bite.

Fruits and Veggies- More Matters™! Is the new health initiative that replaces 5 A Day. The Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBHF) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) developed this new initiative to suggest simple, user friendly ways to add MORE fruits and vegetables to every eating occasion.
