Instructor Led Classes

The Health Reform Initiative Team (HRI Team) has, through a competitive bid process, created an expanded talent pool of external contractor/trainers with proven track records in the public and private sectors. HRI has entered into master contracts with these contractor/ trainers. King County agencies may use these experts without going through a separate competitive procurement process, saving considerable time and money. All costs for contractor/trainers and materials are paid by the requesting department.

Please note: Work with a contractor/trainer from the pool shall not begin until the proper paperwork is completed and signed and a work order number is issued.

Available services are divided into the following categories:

  • Physical Activity
    • Workout
    • Yoga
    • Pilates
    • Tai-Chi
  • Nutrition/Diet
    • Diet counseling and support
    • Nutrition seminars
  • Stress Management
    • Stress management seminars
  • Other (TBD)
Agency coordinators should ensure the following before proceeding with training or classes:

  • Healthy Workplace Funding Initiative application is approved for funding; see the Application section of this Web site for details:
  • If physical activity is involved, risk waiver of liability is agreed to, filled out and signed by each participating employee prior to starting any instruction.
After discussing your scope of work, review the master contracts vendor list for a vendor. You can discuss your scope of work with these contractor/trainers to determine which firm best suits your needs.

Once you have selected a contractor/trainer, complete the Consultant Selection Information Form in its entirety. Attach additional pages if necessary. This form will become your work order to HRI’s master contract.

The Form must be signed by:

  1. Your project manager
  2. The selected contractor
  3. An HRI representative
HRI will contact Procurement Services to obtain a work order "H" number for your particular scope of work. A copy of the approved Consultant Selection Information Form, including the work order "H" number, will be forwarded to the project manager and the contractor.
